The Shire of Ashburton, in collaboration with the Onslow Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OCCI), and the Pilbara Inland Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PICCI), is proud to announce the launch of the Shop Ashburton campaign. This initiative aims to strengthen the local economy by encouraging residents to support businesses within the Shire of Ashburton.
The Shop Ashburton campaign will kick off with three launch events: the first on July 30 in Tom Price, followed by the Onslow launch on 1 August and Paraburdoo to be confirmed. The debut will provide an opportunity for local businesses to learn about the benefits of participating in the program and how they can contribute to its success. With the initiative going live 1 August 2024.
The Shop Ashburton program is free for all Shire of Ashburton businesses to join and encourages locals to choose these vendors and shop there. Whether it’s redeeming vouchers or providing vouchers as gifts, this initiative highlights the Shire’s commitment to inclusivity and accessibility for all businesses, while encouraging people to shop local.
Shire President Audra Smith is confident this initiative will boost local business and encourage community members to shop in their own town and support the local businesses in their region.

Local businesses within the Shire of Ashburton are invited to attend the launch events to learn more about how they can participate and benefit from the Shop Ashburton program.
